This lush, secluded course features tree-lined fairways in its highly-regarded design. The fairways are bermuda in summer and rye in winter. There are several sand bunkers sprinkled throughout the course, and water hazards come into play on a number of holes. Wildlife is abundant on and around the course, but taking photographs is forbidden. This course was chosen 6th among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" by "GOLFWEEK" in 1997, 8th in 1998, 4th in 1999, and 5th in 2001. This course was voted #1 course "in the world" in 2000 by the Robb Report. "GOLF Magazine" named it 30th among the "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." for 1995, and 27th for 1997 and 31st for 1999. The course is owned by the MGM Mirage and only a limited number of hotel guests are given the opportunity to play. The cost includes a suite at one of Mirage Resorts hotels and a limo ride to the course. Caddies are mandatory. The club is closed from mid September through mid October for overseeding.
