This award-winning resort was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 2005 list of "Silver Medal Resorts." The Copperhead Course, which is the site of the PGA TOUR's Chrysler Championship, has an international reputation for excellence and is high on the list of many golfers' favorites. It is one of America's top courses. The course is long, has undulating hills, extremely narrow fairways, and very tall pine trees that can alter your shot selection. The signature hole on the Copperhead Course is #16, a 458-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg fairway and around a lake. The Island Course is typically flat and has water hazards coming into play on several holes. There are cypress trees scattered throughout the design. The signature hole on the Island Course is #7, a 561-yard, par 5, also requiring shots around a lake. The Island Course ranks right at the top of Innisbrook favorites with its tight fairways, intimidating hazards and abundant sand bunkers -- all designed to test the skills of the most accomplished golfers. The Highlands South Course opened in January, 1998. Nine completely new holes add to the excitement of this course. Abundant on this course are water hazards and well-bunkered greens. The Highlands North Course is a beautiful, eighteen-hole layout that presents tight fairways and well-bunkered greens. Accuracy from tee to green is a must on this course. More challenging par 4's and par 5's have been added to this course during revamping. More bunkers and waste areas were added to create greater penalties for errant approach shots. Wildlife is abundant on this course. "GOLF MAGAZINE" selected Highlands North 62nd on its 1998 list of the "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S."
